President: Mike Hitch, Park Administrator, Delaware State Parks
Mike is the Stewardship Administrator for Delaware State Parks. Mike started his State Parks career in May 2013 when he was hired as a Seasonal Park Ranger at Trap Pond State Park. In September 2015, Mike became the Seasonal Assistant Park Superintendent at Trap Pond State Park. He was in this position until being transferred to Lums Pond State Park in January 2017. Mike was hired as Park Superintendent at Fort Delaware State Park in May 2017 and then transferred to Killen’s Pond State Park in December of 2019. He promoted to the Stewardship Administrator position with Delaware State Parks in 2024. Mike graduated from Wilmington University with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a minor in natural science. Mike has been involved with DRPS for many years now and served as an At-Large Member for two years.

Past President: Pat Thompson, Park Administrator, Delaware State Parks
Pat has a degree in Recreation and Leisure Service Management from East Stroudsburg University. He has 20 years of service with DE State Parks and has been involved with DRPS for at least 16 years. Pat is currently the Northern Region Park Administrator, having served as a Park Superintendent at Alapocas Run, Wilmington, Auburn Valley, and Bellevue State Parks.
